Managing Director's Statement
Direct Marketing is a far older industry than people imagine but we are fortunate to be involved in the digital information age where things are changing faster than ever. Companies have recognised that now more than ever before that consumers are bombarded with so many offers and adverts every day that gradually people have become immune and quite simply switch off or filter out most of the information coming their way.
We offer something different, something personal, something unique - a one to one, human interaction where every question can be answered, every point covered, every concern put to rest all carried out in a relaxed informal way that focuses the potential customer on the clients offering. There simply is no more effective way to deliver a message than word of mouth.
Most people fear that when they enter the sales and marketing industry they will be surrounded by many confident and naturally talented sales people. We pride ourselves on taking regular people with no previous experience in the industry and showing them a way to succeed that they never thought they could previously achieve.
The single most important factor that slowed my career down was concern over my ability and I don't think I'm the first person in the world to ask the question, "Am I good enough?" It is well documented that all the necessary skills to succeed can be learned and developed; it really is a question of applying yourself.
One of the skills that improves rapidly in this industry is public speaking, which for most people is one of their greatest fears but people are often amazed at how much they develop when given the opportunity and the right coaching. Personal development is very high on the list when I ask people what they feel they have gained from being part of the organisation. We pride ourselves on teaching the skills that will help you succeed in this industry you don't need previous experience just a desire to figure it out.
